Tinder is the Highest Earning App
For the first time since 2016, now Netflix is not the highest earning non-gaming app, in fact the new name which surpasses it is Tinder surpassed the video-streaming app in Q1 2019 revenues.
Netflix revenues were affected due to its refusal to pay the ‘Apple Tax’; however, Tinder emerged as the most preferred app for the people who are desperate to find love. This dating app grossed $260.7 million from Google Play Store and Apple App Store; however, the revenues of Netflix decreased 15 percent since last quarter and reached to USD 216.3 million. On contrary to it, the Tinder witnessed an increase in its quarter-on-quarter revenues by 42 percent.
Apart from Tinder and Netflix, other top earning apps are Tencent Video, iQIYI, YouTube, Pandora, Kwai, LINE, LINE Manga, and Youku reflecting a hike in the number of users who prefer quality audio and video content.
