Air pollution is increasing in Gurugram, says report
The level or air pollution is increasing at an alarming speed in Gurugram.. The density of cars in Gurugram is much higher than that in Delhi and it is estimated that there are 323 cars are per 1,000 people as compared to 88 cars per 1,000 people in Delhi. Moreover, more than over 1.3 lakh cars come to the city each day from the capital which is also another reason of the increasing air pollution. In Gurugram, PM2.5 has been increasing by at least 2ug/m3 every year, as per the latest Air Quality Life Index report.
The best alternative which can be taken to combat air pollution in the city is the formation of city-level teams to monitor polluting activities and using eco-friendlier technologies, and banning diesel vehicles over 10 years old from plying in the district.
